I am fully aware of how serious an undertaking this is going to be and I don't want to give you the impression that I will not be enjoying the experience, after all I have chosen to take part, no one has forced me to enter and the rewards I will gain from the experience will undoubtedly out weigh the costs. The prospect of travelling to and through some of the most un-travelled and remote areas of the globe, interacting with people that rarely see any form of visitation and experiencing their rich cultures, traditions, religions and hospitality (I hope) along the way will be invaluable. The experiences which I am fortunate enough to encounter will be a true once in a lifetime event and will be made so much more amazing by the individuals and companies which take part in helping me to obtain our goal of raising money for charity and reaching Mongolia in one piece!
The Mongolia Charity Rally supports a number of different charities, which work in Eastern Europe and Asia, and which are the beneficiaries of the money raised. Team Ocelot aims to raise money for three causes, Save the Children, SOS Children's Villages and Julia's House
I would appreciate donations in any form, whether they are financial contributions or items that I will need along the way. If I receive duplicates of items of kit that I need for the trip I will sell them on e-bay and donate the money directly to the charities.
