How Much Do We Have to Raise?

Each team taking part on the Mongolia Charity Rally should raise a minumum of £1,000 for charity.
We are required to raise a certain amount for Mongolian charities because the ethos of Charity Rallies is to help people in the destination country.
Teams raise money directly for their chosen charities by using a combination of the Justgiving web page and PayPal and then making payments directly to their chosen charities.

We have chosen to raise a total of £1500 for charity, £500 for each charity.

So if you are reading this and are in any way inclined, I ask you to dig as deep as you can to help. Absolutely anything you can contribute will be thoroughly appreciated by both me and the charities who will receive it and I will do my best to keep you updated with our progress along the way.

Thanks for your help!

SOS Children

SOS Children is the world's largest orphan and abandoned children charity. Supported by sponsors and donors worldwide, our children's charity provides a new family (in amazing Children's Villages) for over 60,000 children in 123 countries and helps almost a million more people through our projects around the world.
Our main role is helping children whose parents are not there for them: Aids orphans, street children, child soldiers and children orphaned by war, poverty or natural disasters. In places where there is a high rate of child abandonment, we also run programmes to help strengthen vulnerable families and keep them together.

Julia's House

The story of Julia's House, the Dorset Children's Hospice.

In 1997 Dorset lost Julia Perks, a talented and dedicated paediatric nurse, to cancer. Julia was the first to highlight the need for facilities and services for children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses in the area and she particularly wanted to raise awareness of the need for more respite for the families of these children. Following her sad and premature death, Julia's family, friends and colleagues took up the mantle and set up the Julia Perks Foundation, now known as Julia's House, the Dorset Children's Hospice.
